The object of this contribution is that of proposing to sustain a pedagogical approach on the theme of guidance, according to which guiding towards a training and professional choice is the equivalent of educating, in other words, according to this prospective, education is an intentional and complex process which in itself expresses inherent prerogative guidance. Such a prerogative is expressed in the activation of reflective strategies aimed at the fundamental objective of providing the individual with skills to access to reality through awareness of one's own responsibility in self construction and one's own culture, and to appear therefore appropriate in sustaining and guiding the individual along the plural and complex paths which, in this contemporary epoch, delineate the individuals' biography: education in its fundamental meaning, has the purpose of motivating towards self research in the construction of a path of growth and education which orients experience, that is generating a capability of choice as a function of a life plan which emerges as a competence of self guidance.
