Abstract
Neural Networks try to emulate the behavior of human brain in performing simple classification and pattern recognition tasks. The huge explosion in both quality and quantity of data experienced in the last decade by both astronomy and high energy physics, has stimulated the search for artificial intelligence tools capable to help the scientist in both the routine work (such as prereduction and analysis) and in thevisualization and interpretation of the data. In this review we outline some recent developments in the field of neural networks, together with their main applications to a variety of problems.File in questo prodotto:
