We present new results regarding the stability properties of a stochastic nonlinear quadratic system (NLQS). The paper extends to the stochastic context a previous work concerning the domain of attraction (DA) of the zero equilibrium point of a nonlinear quadratic system. A stabilizing control law is designed by considering the concept of (Ω,α) stability in probability. The devised procedure requires the solution of a convex optimization problem. An example based on a stochastic epidemic model illustrates how to implement the developed approach.
