Play is considered a very important tool for inclusion as well as a tool to promote learning. The aim of this paper is to underline the evolution of the concept of play, starting from the playful aspect. The most important definitions given by the most authoritative authors are considered, up to the concept of body and corporeality. Play, as argued in the previous paragraph, is a fundamental need common to all individuals without distinction of gender, age or culture.

Abstract
