Starting from a short introduction on the very notion of automatization and robotics, the essay will focus on three aspect of their impact on collective labour relations: first, the role information, consultation and participation of workers representatives as well as collective bargaining shall play in the introduction, enhancement and/or regulation of automatization and robotic production in the undertaking; second, the existence of robots’ rights as “human and workers’ rights”, in the view of safeguarding the existence of human workforce and of their humanisation as artificial intelligence; third, the health and safety issues automatization and robotic production rise in a collective relations perspective.
