Educational poverty is defined as “the impossibility for children and teenagers to learn, experiment, develop and freely foster their capacities, talents and aspirations” (Save the Children). One of the main causes of educational poverty is economic poverty, because it reduces the opportunity of accessing aggregative contexts, such as gyms or cultural associations. To contain this phenomenon, the University of Naples Parthenope and the University of Salerno have established the Degree Course in “educational and training services design, media education and technologies for inclusion in formal and non-formal contexts”. The aim of this course is to train professionals capable of analysing local realities and planning adequate educational interventions also using digital technologies.
