Organizational Network Analysis (ONA) is claimed to be a powerful tool in supporting change management processes. However, despite this potential, ONA is still not well understood beyond HR innovators. This empirical study, conducted in a private Italian company, aimed to address this gap. It also aimed to provide the company management with a snapshot on its existing work, social, and values relationships, and how these could potentially be used to re-structure their ongoing change management initiatives that were not moving forward. Our analysis confirmed the value of ONA for these purposes, especially in the change management project design phase. The paper includes practical recommendations made to the Case company based on the research findings, as well as suggestions on the future paper developments.
