The study traces the relationship between domestic law and European Union law, focusing on the value of the monist theory for market integration in the European Union. The article aims, especially, to show that much of the most recent national legislation arises directly from the need to satisfy the interests of market integration emerged in the EU law. Thus national law relates to EU law in a unitary way, rather than parallel. Under the interests protected by the EU law are also included those regulated by legislation on services, particularly showing the evolution of the relationship between national and EU law as a whole juridical system.

Abstract
