The goal of this paper is to analyze the experimental project ‘Diversity on the Job’ (DJ) carried out in the city of Naples. The project was meant to set a best practice for labor market inclusion of LGBT people. DJ created integrated territorial networks to help LGBT people find work through the involvement of associations and stakeholders. The project proved, since it promoted the employability of disadvantaged individuals at high risk of discrimination (through orientation and coaching services, three-month internships, and job placement services), but also since it performed a capacity-building action. The analysis shows why the implementation of the DJ Project in the city of Naples has achieved a virtuous yet at the same time ambiguous effect for the specific territorial context.
