This paper aims at investigating the role of sport in the management of the training process. We must consider that, from this point of view, sport has a fundamental role that starts from the simple playful aspect to get to aspects that are more specific to the agonistic activity. The starting point of the paper the definition of the role of physical education in schools and sports associations, to then shift the focus on aspects of psycho-pedagog- ical nature.
