Introduction: This work focuses on the importance of the economic assessments of influenza vaccination for the over-65 aged population, by means of the "Adjuvant Trivalent Vaccine". Methods: A Budget Impact Analysis (BIA) was carried out; this is an economic analysis that compares the costs and consequenc- es of two different intervention strategies: vaccination vs. non-vaccination. Results: The results achieved through the BIA showed an expected saving for the Italian National Health System of € 147,117,730. Conclusion: From the results of the analysis carried out, it can be concluded that vaccination represents the best way for the Italian national health system to manage influenza emergency, in response to an optimal management of resources in the health sector.
