Introduction: The use of media and social networks is increasingly expanding, to the point that they have become tools for com- municating about health: Facebook is one of them and is used mostly to promote correct lifestyles. The concept of health promotion has evolved thanks to the ability of social media to reach a wide audience in an immediate and economic way. Methods: A quantitative method was chosen; more specifically, a questionnaire was administered. Closed-ended questions were employed, i.e. it was possible to choose the answer from those previously indicated. The questionnaire consisted of 14 questions, divided into three items. Results: The audience reached was mainly made up of young women from Southern Italy. Most of the interviewees believed that Facebook could be a useful tool for health promotion. Conclusion: From the SWOT analysis of the results it was possible to highlight that there are different implications resulting from the use of Facebook: some are considered as strengths, others as merely opportunities.
