Sclerosing angiomatoid nodular transformation (SANT) is a benign, proliferative, vascular lesion affecting the spleen(1). SANT of the spleen is a rare condition, with only 135 cases reported in the literature(1, 2). As in our case, these splenic lesions are often incidental findings on imaging studies performed for other reasons(3). We herein report a case of a sclerosing angiomatoid nodular transformation (SANT) of spleen incidentally detected on a routine ultrasound (US) examination in an otherwise healthy 20-year-old female patient, which was evaluated by contrast-enhanced ultra- sound (CEUS) and contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), further confirmed by pathology.

Abstract
Sclerosing angiomatoid nodular transformation (SANT) is a benign, proliferative, vascular lesion affecting the spleen(1). SANT of the spleen is a rare condition, with only 135 cases reported in the literature(1, 2). As in our case, these splenic lesions are often incidental findings on imaging studies performed for other reasons(3). We herein report a case of a sclerosing angiomatoid nodular transformation (SANT) of spleen incidentally detected on a routine ultrasound (US) examination in an otherwise healthy 20-year-old female patient, which was evaluated by contrast-enhanced ultra- sound (CEUS) and contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), further confirmed by pathology.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
