The operating room is the environment inside of hospitals that requires the greatest deal of attention in the choice of the devices for air supply, diffusion and recovery. The design of Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems dedicated to these environments plays a crucial role, in order to drastically reduce the risk of infections for patients, in addition to the maintenance of adequate thermo-hygrometric comfort conditions for the medical team. The proper design of such systems must take into account air distribution and pollutants transport within the operating room. In the present work, the authors numerically simulate heat and fluid flow inside the room, and CO2 distribution.
