Caring for grassroots is a priority the UEFA, in line with the thought that the élite football cannot be successful without a solid foundation, and in the light of the fact that football must be open to all. UEFA’s commitment in developing and cultivating the technical sector of the European football has borne fruit over the years, with the result that the governance of the European football has established new and meaningful standards, in collaboration with its 54 member federations. Among the activities carried out by the UEFA, considerable emphasis is attached to the following aspects: football training activities; development and training of coaches; analysis of tactical and technical trends in the UEFA elite football and in youth competitions; care for grassroots; services provided to young football players in a growth phase.
