DNase I is the endonuclease responsible for the internucleosomal DNA fragmentation. It, therefore, plays a fundamental role in apoptosis, the process of cell suicide. In the present paper we have determined its presence/localization in the ovarian follicle cells of few cold blooded vertebrates. Results obtained have been discussed in relation to the different roles played in the different species, by follicle cells during oogenesis.

Abstract
DNase I is the endonuclease responsible for the internucleosomal DNA fragmentation. It, therefore, plays a fundamental role in apoptosis, the process of cell suicide. In the present paper we have determined its presence/localization in the ovarian follicle cells of few cold blooded vertebrates. Results obtained have been discussed in relation to the different roles played in the different species, by follicle cells during oogenesis.File in questo prodotto:
