Along-track interferometric synthetic aperture radar systems can be used for ground moving target indication. We analyze a scheme for detecting moving targets with unknown parameters (velocity and signal-to-clutter ratio) and with constant false-alarm rates, based on the generalized likelihood ratio test (GLRT), and adopting a Gaussian model for target and clutter signals. We compare its performance with the one obtained in the ideal case of known target parameters applying the likelihood ratio test (LRT). A closed form for the LRT receiver operating characteristic is derived and used as reference for GLRT performance assessment. The analysis is carried out on simulated TerraSAR-X data.
