OWNERSHIP STRUCTURE AND INFORMATION FLOWS MANAGEMENT IN ITALIAN CRUISE TERMINALS In the last years ports have been invested by several reforms aimed at increasing efficiency and effectiveness of seaport systems. On the way to get, this private-public partnerships for the management of cruise terminal infrastructures, in Italy have been favoured by the reordering seaport Law n. 84/94. In this scenario the control of information on passengers flows become a crucial activity. The aim of the paper is to investigate the information system implemented by the Italian cruise terminal companies, in order to understand possible connections between its configuration and cruise terminal companies ownership structures. The implementation of integrated information systems among PAs and CTc could allow the rapid access to passengers flows data by which depend the financial autonomy and the competitiveness of a port. Our results show the existence of a relationship between the ownership structure of CTc and the integration degree of information flows among the two main actors, CTc and PA. This is an explorative study conducted though a qualitative approach and the use of case study methodology. The restricted number of cases analysed (four Italian CTc) does not allow to extend the results, but it provides interesting considerations for further studies in this field.

Abstract
The restricted number of cases analysed (four Italian CTc) does not allow to extend the results, but it provides interesting considerations for further studies in this field.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
