One possible source of information for the knowledge of spatial dynamics is provided by maps or historical aerial photographs that allows to have a land use faithful representation. Thanks to modern technology and an increasing familiarity with aerial photography, historical aerial photographs, for digital orthophoto generation, is experiencing a great period.
