Two imperial documents in Greek dated in the years 475-476, the Encyclion and the Antiencyclion by Basilisk (Zeno usurper), have not been translated and carefully analyzed to assess the content relatively to the Orthodox Creed, but rather to verify their nature as acts of legislation. Their text is presented in a form very ambiguous perhaps because they have not been compilated by officia scholars who were the only experts in law matter; this difficulty of identification was also met by the immediately following legislator since, in 477 A.D., he repealed both documents with the law in CI. 1, 2, 16.
