The article deals with the professional tariffs issue, in particular the notarial remunerations. It aims to demonstrate that, in this specific case - attested the service of general economic interest ruled by notaries tariffs liberalization could constitute an improper legislative choice. Particularly, it seems to be at odds with art. 106 TFEU and the relevant EU case law. The article further examines recent decisions of Italian Supreme Court and National Antitrust Authority to verify the conformity of national legal framework with EU context.
