This study analyzes the often controversial relationship between EU competition law -in particular Art.102 of the Treaty on the Function of EU -and intellectual property law. It highlights the relevant problems especially by means of the analysis of the consistent EU case-law. Nevertheless, at the end, it also prospects possible solutions offered by the EU legal system to balance the different interests at stake.
