A geographical survey about Italian cyberspace This paper analyses the effects which Ict development has produced in the territorial planning and management with particular focus on the Italian urban spaces. Basically the effects of ICT lead to a progressive virtualisation of a number of urban functions. This results in an original development of the distribution and availability of a larger kind of services which are supplied by P.A. to citizens. Contemporary the shape of digital city is an innovative way of interaction between P.A. and citizens and, if it is supported by successful territorial marketing politics, it’s an extraordinary opportunity of urban sponsorship.
