n this paper we first explore the peculiarity of the COSMO SkyMed (CSK) PingPong mode to monitor the Vesuvius National Park. The Vesuvius National Park is one of the richest areas in biodiversity. The CSK PingPong data analysis is based on the estimation of the co-polarized correlation amplitude. Data analysis shows sensitivity to vegetation cover, i.e. the most important biodiversity factor over the park.
