Quetta city is a seismically active and rapidly urbanizing region. Ground displacement monitoring is crucial for understanding geo-hazards and mitigating risks. This study employs Persistent Scatterer Interferometry Synthetic Aperture Radar (PSInSAR) and Small Baseline Subset (SBAS) techniques for a comparative analysis to capture specific displacement patterns. The results reveal that the region's urban area experienced an average surface movement of -166 millimeters per year, incorporating Sentinel-1 imagery from January 2022 to January 2024. A GPS station in the area was used for validation purposes, indicating an average displacement of -163 millimeters. To investigate controlling parameters, temporal analysis of groundwater levels (GWL) exhibited a fluctuating range from 7.8 to 11 meters from 2010 to 2023. However, Quaternary deposits along the active fault lines are sinking more rapidly in the area. Overall, anthropogenic activities and geotectonic factors are responsible for ground displacement, which can pose a serious threat to the region's future.
