The article deals the topic of the training to parenting by focussing on some issues which distinguish "our" childhood which, though characterized by a variegated social, economical and cultural specifity, is based on a principle which expresses a universal dimension: the development of a society depends on its ability to supply the young generations with adequate tools to face reality. The role of childhood seems, then, in every place of cultural context a central element for the development of a community. Therefore this paper develops some theoretical and methodological aspects regarding the training to parenting, referring to a specific training experience realized by some parents in risk areas of Naples province.
