The paper examines reception and integration experience conducted with migrant mothers on the Italian island of Procida. The primary objective of the intervention was to implement a reception model that particularly focused on the parenting capacity of migrant mothers, many of whom came from contexts of abuse, mistreatment and exploitation. The theoretical -methodological approach guiding this initiative was based on practical adaptability, starting fromdaily materna l tasks carried out in situations of varying adaptive complexity. This initiative helped the women in question develop progressively deeper awareness of their parental responsibilities and educational roles, while residing in the S.A.I. of Procida (Reception and Integration System). Here, these mainly single -parent families, carried out further stages of integration including learning Italian, securing future employment as well as facilitating their children’s enrollment in the local school community.
