The relationship between gender and quality of life satisfaction is a complex issue with mixed findings. Some studies have found that women are more satisfied with their lives than men, whereas in others men are more satisfied. In this study, we investigated the gender disparities in quality of life satisfaction in the Italian regions. Using data from the multipurpose survey on households, Aspects of Daily Life by Istat, this study built a synthetic index of gender disparity in quality of life satisfaction through the AMPI methodology. This index facilitates spatial and temporal comparisons across Italian regions from 2018 to 2022, aiming to identify changes influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic. As we expected, the results showed important territorial features.

Abstract
As we expected, the results showed important territorial features.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
