Abstract
In the context of smart manufacturing, the integration of advanced digital technologies plays a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency, transparency, and sustainability. This research presents a novel platform designed to seamlessly combine Digital Twin technology, real-time IoT data, and collaboration tools to support smart manufacturing processes. By offering a unified approach, the platform aims to improve operational transparency, facilitate remote interaction, and enable real-time sustainability monitoring. Central to its design is the alignment of process monitoring capabilities with ecological objectives, ensuring that manufacturing operations contribute to sustainability goals. The platform empowers organizations to track, analyze, and optimize processes in real-time, while also fostering collaboration across remote teams for more effective decision-making. A pilot study conducted in a textile manufacturing company is presented, demonstrating the platform’s potential in improving operational performance while adhering to environmental standards. The findings highlight the platform’s capability to enhance both the efficiency of manufacturing operations and the sustainability of industrial practices, offering valuable insights into its practical application within the textile industry.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
