In particular, a series of shake-table tests were performed on two reduced-scale strap-braced building structures. The specimens were three-story, two bays, 1/3 reduced-scale, strap-braced building with different floor typologies: floor made of steel frame sheathed with OSB panels or floors made of trapezoidal steel sheets and lightweight concrete. Moreover, a 3D numerical model was also developed to simulate the earthquake response of the whole building. Abstract

Recently, University of Naples "Federico II" in collaboration with Lamieredil S.p.A. Company has concluded experimental study focused on the investigation the seismic behavior of strap-braced CFS structures. The present paper illustrates the main results of the shake-table testing and numerical modelling.
