This paper aims to explore the didactic potential of culturomics in the context of teaching French as a foreign language (FFL), particularly with regard to addressing cultural content. After defining culturomics as an emerging discipline and establishing its connections with the didactics of language and culture, we will introduce the lexicometric tool Gallicagram, which enables linguistic exploitation of large diachronic corpora. The objective is to demonstrate how certain uses of this tool can support the understanding of linguistic and cultural evolutions of specific lexical items. In this perspective, and in order to illustrate the pedagogical value of lexicometric tools in addressing the cultural dimension of vocabulary, we will propose a didactic sequence focused on the lexicon of fashion.

Abstract
This paper aims to explore the didactic potential of culturomics in the context of teaching French as a foreign language (FFL), particularly with regard to addressing cultural content. After defining culturomics as an emerging discipline and establishing its connections with the didactics of language and culture, we will introduce the lexicometric tool Gallicagram, which enables linguistic exploitation of large diachronic corpora. The objective is to demonstrate how certain uses of this tool can support the understanding of linguistic and cultural evolutions of specific lexical items. In this perspective, and in order to illustrate the pedagogical value of lexicometric tools in addressing the cultural dimension of vocabulary, we will propose a didactic sequence focused on the lexicon of fashion.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
