Rethinking creative cities for urban innovation and future

Cities are rethinking on a creative-driven planning to support urban social growth, leading to urban redevelopment, and empowering urban communities to proactively co-create urban value and contribute to social urban innovation. Designing the city of the future relies on promoting a creative city which will be able to engender collaborative frameworks that support social innovation issues. Culture-driven and creative-led initiatives help shape creative community-oriented and collaborative-led urban change within urban spaces, socially innovative and inclusive meeting places for community participation, engagement and involvement. Rethinking on creative cities leads to communities which are driving urban innovation by planning for working collaboratively. The study aims to elucidate how cities are rethinking on planning urban creative future, leading to socially collaborative practices that develop urban innovation.
