Abstract

This article analyses the neologisms produced by Boucherie Abolition, a French militant animalist and antispeciesist collective which, as a sign of political struggle, is forging a new lexicon with the aim of putting an end to the symbolic violence conveyed by the so-called specist vocabulary. They propose a classification of the discursive processes and lexical formation of neologisms, examining the productivity of the lexical elements and their function in discourse.
