Through a review of relevant literature and empirical study, insights into human-robot interaction dynamics and cognitive enhancement are gained. This exploration contributes to optimizing human cognitive abilities in assistive settings. Our results demonstrate that robot tutors’ competence and periodic help offerings are insufficient unless human tutees recognize the task’s difficulty.
