The object of analysis lies in a series of fictional interviews between members of the police force and lay persons suspected of having committed a misdemeanour. The aim of the analysis is to bring to the fore the linguistic specificity of these interviews together with the characteristics of the institutional framework to which they fictively belong with an aim to investigate whether fictional investigative interviews possess the structural and linguistic specificity of formal institutional interviews together with the characterizing features germane to such speech-exchange contexts.

Abstract
