The article aims to give a contribution on the debate for the adoption of a regulation on administrative procedure of the European Union, considering in particular the consequences it could have on the data protection issue. Illustrated the current EU data protection legal framework, it wants to prove that - limited to the privacy concerns - it is not feasible the adoption of coherent and consistent rules for the administrative procedure not taking into account the existing EU data protection legislation, both under substantive and procedural aspects.
